The college students learnt the language, culture and customs of Vietnamese, and have been doing it in a relaxed manner, according to their teacher.
The group has also been taught to listen to and understand the people in their surroundings, such as the Vietnamese culture and traditional dance.
“The group learnt to understand the Vietnamese language and culture.
We have also learnt to listen, and understand, the Vietnamese people,” said the student.
A graduate of the school of communication and public diplomacy, Nong Nguyen, who is studying the subject at the university, said the group has been given three weeks to learn the language and to practice.
The students are learning to speak the language with a simple, non-intimidating way, he said.
“The students have been told not to get excited.
The teachers have been very respectful,” he said, adding that the students have also been given food and water.
Nguyen said they have also met Vietnamese culture.
“We have been given a bottle of wine.
They have been to the local temple and there are some local traditions,” he added.
